Correct me if I am wrong, but I though the only open source player out there that can play WMVs is the VLC player. I just read recently that DVD-John got that working; this was supposed to be some kind of first.

Just ignore me, I thought you said 'WMV', not 'WMA'.
thanks for that - yeah i was using xmms with plugin, but i've been hearing very good things about amarok, so i decided to give it a go - unfortunantely despite numerous website saying it supports wma - i seem to be having a problem wiht it. I got the rpm version 1.1 as far as i can remeber
