Unhappy Alsa Drivers : How to make new Boot Floppy

Hello Everyone,

I am new to LINUX and I have installed RH Linux 8 on my Machine.

My Computer has Intel Mother board with Buit in Sound D845gebv2 Motherboard With intel8X0 sound

To get the sound working I have just installed Alsa Drivers.

But they do not function.

I have found that The new Kernel is not being used Because I am Booting
from a floppy.

For the reason of Large hard disk and win98/Win2k both on the same machine I boot Linux Only From a floppy.

Please let me know How to make the new Boot Floppy with the new Kernel on it.

Rgds

I think it is like this, if the kernel you want to boot is 2.6.3.
mkbootdisk /dev/fd0 2.6.3
