All of my Firefox windows keep closing, simultaneously, and for no discernible reason

Every so often, all of my browser windows just close, at the same time. I'm not doing anything that could cause this, so why is it happening? It's quite frustrating.

Well, it's hard to say. You don't say what version of Firefox, how many browser windows you have up (or do you mean tabs?), on what version and distro of Linux, or what web sites/apps you have up when it crashes.

With no information, no one will be able to diagnose a problem.

have a look in logs and dmesg ...

You might try to start FF in a terminal. After the crash a lot of information is left in the terminal. This works with virtually any app.
