Alfa network adapter and BT4

I have Backtrack4 installed as a dual boot with Vista in my Acer Aspire 5315 laptop. I can connect to my access point with my inbuilt wireless Atheros AR5007EG wireless adapter by starting services/network and WICD. The problem I have is connecting my Alfa network RTL8187 wireless through WICD or wireless assistant. My Alfa network adapter works fine as I have used it with Aircrack-ng in BT4.
Thanks

I don't quite follow you. First you say it is having a problem, but then say it is working fine.

Do you mean that the driver for the adapter itself is working (you can search for APs and authenticate from the command line), but the GUI tools for configuring the interface aren't working? Do they show an error?

Hi,
I can not connect to my AP with my Alfa Network adapter (wlan1) but it works fine with pentesting.
When I try to connect to my AP I keep getting connection failed. I have googled but to no avail.
The Alfa network chipset is RLT8187 which should work with BT4 out of the box.
Why can i not connect to my AP?
