alcatel USB speedtouch through PCI bridge (mandrake 9.1)


hello

i've just installed mandrake 9.1 and i cannot get my speedtouch usb modem to work.

my on-board USB ports are fried, so i've had to buy a 4-usb-port pci card. the problem is that mandrake will not detect the usb modem when it's plugged into that card.

does anyone have suggestions?

Hi,

I had a similar problem. At first, I relied on my Windows 2000 Domain Controller to act as my ICS machine which kinda worked OK but I wanted to finally rid my life of Microsoft software. After a few clicks here and there, I stumbled across a link which gave me very clear instruction on how to install and configure my ADSL modem for use in Mandrake 9.1

I'm a BT Openworld customer so the instructions where absolutely perfect.
