aio_raw library

Dear All,
I got an error message while compiling.
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -laio_raw
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

OS : RHEL - 5.
GCC :gcc version 4.1.2 20070626

I tried to find the library libaio_raw which is not present in linux RHEL-5.
I googled to get the info about libaio_raw, but did not found much info.
Is there any other library compatable to aio_raw in linux.

Thanks
Pramod
