Question again on connections... this time on a slack 8

Hi everybody. I have Slackware 8 installed and GNOME as desktop.

My problem is: when i start gnome-ppp as a user it says me "pppd died unexpectedly"! But I did set all permissions in /usr/bin/ppp* and /etc/ppp/*, so what's up?

I think there's something else to grant permissions for... but what?

Please could anyone help me? Thanks ;^] ...oh well !

Thanx bluecadet,

I'll check it out, but I forgot to say that when I'm root "instead" something else happens: it connects successfully but I'm not able to get any webpage.

I looked at my /etc/resolv.conf and everything seems ok...

I'll keep you informed
