Question After upgrade all using slackpkg upgrade, configuration is failed to read

Dear all,
I upgraded my slackware using
Code:
slackpkg upgrade-all
At the end, it asked me if what to do with the new and old configuration files. I chose to use the old file and keep the new ones. But when I reboot the system, it fails to restart saying "cannot find which tty". Looks like the old configuration files doesn't go well with the new upgrade. How can I use the new configuration file without wiping out my old configurations? What are the steps to retrieve the system back online?

regards,
ethereal1m

did you run slackpkg install-new before slackpkg upgrade-all?

Anyway, now are you able to login or not?

i just realized that i commented out wrong part of mirror file that causing slackware downloaded wrong architecture. At the end since I don't have much on my system, I wiped it out and started afresh....
