After last upgrade Ubuntu does not start but boots into terminal
 

After I installed the last upgrade for 12.04.2 LTS (GNU/Luntuinux 3.2.0-49-generic i686) computer boots into the terminal. This happened before but I don't remember how to fix it. I can't get back to Ubuntu home screen.

I would recomend backup copy home folder and install again latest version of ubuntu, if you don't know how to repair that.

If you are in terminal type startx, but probably you are in grub commandline or how is that called?

Thank you for your help and trouble yooy! startx worked and I will keep a note of this. There is so much to learn and a seventy-five year old is a little slow.
