After boot Fedora Core 5 Freeze

After the system copies files to hard drive and boots. It gives me the GRUB selection. So I select linux then when is "Checking Hardware for Changes" then it either freeze or just stops. I don't know whats the problem it is. The windows and linux is setup on the 80 GB hard drive. I have no problem boot windows but the linux let just say it is not so easy.

Hardware:
Asus P4P800-E Deluxe
Processor P4
ATI X850X PE 256MB AGP
Leadtek TV200xp RM PCI Interface Tuner
Lite-On DVD Burner
Lite-On CD Burner
Western Digital 80 GB
Western Digital 120 GB

When did fedora core 5 come out? If it's a new distribution, it might be a bug.

I got pass the hardware checking i just used interactive enviornment and said no to "readahead", "kuzdu", "first boot"
Here is another question i use pci adapter to add more ide hard drives do u think it will find these hard drive(NTFS) and also i use a wireless in my house it doesn't detect it although i see the ethernet cable how could i enable the wireless connection...

some sugestion(learning from own mistakes)
i recommend not use the Fedora Core 5 cd to setup partions i recommend that u use a software such as partion magic to setup two more partions
1. Swap 50MB is enough
2. Ext2 (i think for linux) i recomend somewhere around 10GB that where is the linux installed
