After a not succesful compile of the kernel, how do i recompile it?
i compiled a 2.6.10 kernel on slackware, i boot and get errors.
i can imagine i need to retrace my steps a bit, but i don't want to overdue it, what do i need to to do again?
What are you saying?
Did the compile fail, or did the compile go well but
the kernel won't work?
Run "make clean" in the source directory. This will get rid of any object files etc hanging around. If you don't want to keep your config file then run "make mrproper" instead.
Then re-run "make [x][menu]config and fix whatever caused the error, assuming your configuration is what caused it, but without seeing the errors you get who knows?
