Advantages of screen over multi-tab terminals

Can you please help me understand what are the advantages of 'Screen' command over multi tab terminals?

I understand screen can start a command remotely on a different machine. But what other advantages of 'screen' over multi-tab terminal ? especially in a local machine case?

If you accidentally close the multi-tab terminal the work in
all windows is lost. If you accidentally close a terminal running
screen you just reconnect to the screen session and you're away
laughing, carrying on where you stopped.
