Adsl connection problems

I can't connect to the Internet in Mandrake Linux 9.2. I am connected in my win Xp on the same computer. I have tried using the Drakconnect guide in the Control Center, but it doesn't work.

try using adsl-setup and fill in the fields, then adsl-start to run it, you must be root to do these
