adsl connection


i know that this may be a bit much to ask but is anybody able to give me a step by step instruction on how to get my bt voyager 100 adsl modem going on mandrake? i am new to linux and have tried myself for ages. i have to keep going back to my windows os to use the internet for info. i have downloaded eciadsl which has the drivers for linux but i have no idea what to do. granduiloquient@yahoo.com if anyone wants to email instead of post. thanks

How is your adsl modem connected to your computer.

what version of Mandrake?

From what I remember of my own tinkering with Mandrake 9.1 and Mandriva 2005 LE it seems that it set itself up on my Actiontec modem. So what it sounds like is that it's a hardware specific problem. Or it's your modem settings itself. Perhaps you could try dialing up your modem (probably 192.168.0.1) and setting it up for use with a non-windows os. Just ideas.

my modem is connected via a usb port. i am using mandrake 10.1. about dialing my modem, how?
