Administration of printers


Hi
in RHEL 4 pc when I type

" http://127.0.0.1:631 "
in firefox it is taking me to an administration page where I can install/remove printers apart from other admin jobs.

what is this

Hello,

Port 631 is assigned to IPP (printing protocol) and commonly used by CUPS on Linux systems to provide access to the web configuration page for the Common Unix Printing System.

To find out about other ports, have a look at the official list here.
