adding the camera on a notebook Samsung q 210

hello dear linux experts

i run opensuse verion 12.3 on a samsung notebook - version q 210

one week ago i installed skype for linux on the machine - i guess it is called skype for linux versino 4.xy

all went well and now i am happy that i can use skype.

but one thing is left. the video signal.

note: i have a little camera in the notebook - in the samsung notebook q 210

question: how to activate it? How to to bring it to work? What is needed?

Many thanks for any and all help

Well, I can't seem to find your webcam either as a USB-device nor as a PCI-device. Do you have Windows installed? if yes, does the camera work with Windows? then please check in Windows the hardware-manager and find out which device it is (product and vendor).

hello dear all

i am lucky - mean, here all i had to do was open Skype's "Options" area, the select "Video
Devices" and then click to check mark enable "Enable Skype Video",
Start my video automatically when i am in a call", select the WebeetCam
in the spinner, etc etc etc and click "Test"..

hope that this helps others too

greetings say
