Adding skins to AMSN.

I installed AMSN recently and I want to add a new skin. I downloaded a skin and unzipped the file. I have no idea where to put it and i can't find the AMSN install directory. The locate command doesn't work.

well i am not sure how you installed amsn, but if you used a precompiled package to
install it then you will probably have an .amsn folder in your home folder (notice the
period in front of amsn) ... so the folder should be ~/.amsn/skins ...
if you just untarred the source package in your home folder then it would be :
~/msn/skins ...

There is a '~/.amsn/skins' folder there, that's not the problem. The new skin (called MSN) is in that folder, (~/.amsn/skins/MSN), and in the MSN folder are folders and files like '/display pic', '/smileys' and '/settings.xml'.

But I still can't choose the new skin.

well the folder "MSN" IS the skin .... you have to extract the others in a seperate folder inside the skins folder, not within the MSN folder that is located in the skins folder.
