Adding programs to the "start menu"
OK, im a total Linux n00b, so be patient!
Ive installed Fedora Core 2 and somehow manged to install a working mp3player. however, the only way i can run the program is from a shell prompt. how do I add a shortcut on the starmenu for it? P.s. apologies for all the windows terminology! :D |
Which window manager are you using GNOME or KDE?
If you are using KDE just right click on the menu icon (bottom left) and click "Menu Editor" |
Oops. should have mentioned. Just left it with GNOME which was installed by default.
(Which is the better option? I dont even think KDE was installed, but i wouldn't have a clue how to switch in any case) |
So is it possible?
