adding font for mandrake9.2 + oo 1.1.0
 
how to add new font to open office 1.1.0, i've installed mandrake 9.2 and open office org, but i found there is no arial n time new roman, font.
so where i can get those 2 font, n how to add them to my system (oo 1.1.0)?

cp .ttf files (from win machine) for those fonts & use spadmin to install it.

to Open Office type directory or to the system type1 directory ? or both?
its maybe so silly but i really newbie to linux.

Adding it to the system Type1 dir will make the fonts visible to all programs.

ah finnaly i made it.
copy font from windoze machine n run ./spadmin from /usr/bin/openoffice and adding it to openoffice.

to make visible to all program i should copy it to the type1 directory in the system, ah thank you all for helping me here.

btw do you know, which version of mic office doc can open by open office ?
is mic office XP doc can open by open office 1.1.0 ?

i think u can open any version of m$office doc with open office 1.1.0

Yes any version of *.doc files can be opened using OO.org
I think the .doc format hasnt changed since MS Office 97 ( i.e. '97, 2000 and XP have almost same formats)

thanks for the information, now i can start immidiately type in OO few moment ago i still confuse about the doc compability (coz lot of my co worker still use m$office) now....... i'm not hehehe
