addinf users-vipw


Hi all,

I'm trying to add a new user using ' vipw ' .

but #vipw gives
bash: vipw: command not found -Plz help me out with this.....


Also $login root
Password :*****

Login incorrect //i'm sure i'm giving the right password without caps

however $su works

What am i missing here?

hi there,

do the su command and then type useradd (thats the command you should use) that would add the user.

anyway what distro are you using - most distros have a gui to add user. Look in there first
