add new user's ???


hey guys, im using redhat 9.

how would i set up a second non root acount ???

not looking for anything fancy, just sumthing to get my family back on the internet while i beat the **** outa win2000 and re-install it AGAIN !

Just type
useradd username

and then for setting its password

passwd username

and that's it.

you can also du it with the graphical interface. go to your personal directory, and type in the location line: start-here:/// end press enter. Choose "System Settings" and then "Users and Groups"

useradd -p "password" "username"

where "password" is password not in quotes and "username" is there logon not in quotes. Good luck.
