add image to protected directories login box

Question can you add a image to the log in box used on a protected folder.

I have come across one, but never found it again and wonder if it can be done.

I haven't been able to find any docs about it can any one help me out please.

I'm not sure i understand exactly what you want to do to be honest, but i'll take a chance:
i guess you want to copy a picture you found somewhere in the folder where the rest of the login screen pictures are found...and this folder is read-only for the simple user...
You should try to login as root from a konsole and cp the specified file to the respective folder...
If you're using KDE, that's probably somewhere in /opt/kde3/share/apps/kdm/pics (if i remember well...)
If it's something else you need, pls give some more info....
