Fedora 13 is dead and obsolete, no more support.

If you absolutely *must* use an unsupported OS with security/stability flaws that will never be fixed, a good place to find answers is here: http://www.forums.fedoraforum.org/forumdisplay.php?f=75

use the fedora 19 dvd or the soon to be released ( in a week) Fedora 20 dvd

With fedora 20 , the OLD fedora 13dvd is now 7 versions OUT OF DATE !

so you ONLY want to add the SOURCE and NOT the already built and WORKING video player ?????????

the sourcefor VLC will be of ZERO use, unless you build it and every piece of software that it needs .

a SRC rpm is the SOURCE CODE to build a program

Thanks for the replies ...
Just forget about the fedora version and vlc ... Let me know how can I include some rpms to the fedora installation disk so that those rpms also get installed into the system when I install fedora using the iso...

have you read through the fedoraproject pages ?

http://spins.fedoraproject.org/support
http://spins.fedoraproject.org/about
https://fedorahosted.org/liveusb-creator/
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to..._use_a_Live_CD
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Infras...re/CustomSpins
--- ancient and for a very dead version of fedora - but
http://magazine.redhat.com/2007/05/3...xing-fedora-7/

you spin your own version
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Spins...reating_a_Spin

but if all you want to do is add programs at time of install
the installer has that option
but a bit of a WARNING !!!!

fedora is infamous for fubaring the install if you start adding and removing packages to install

installing the BASE default install is the recommended install
THEN
After you confirm that it works you add or remove programs as needed
