Acronym for service to supply tcp/ip info on boot

I know I will probably kick myself very hard when I find the answer to this one but whilst doing CISCO IT Essentials II module 9 quiz (I can't even find the answer in the course material which is really annoying!!) I have searched everywhere for the answer to the following question; I currently feel as if it would be easier to find answers on alchemy... Anyway the question is, "you would like your Linux workstation to use the TCP/IP protocol. Which service should you activate in order to have all of the TCP/IP information automatically supplied to your workstation when it boots? (type the acronym).

I hope someone can release me from my torture....

Let's reword it, to be of more help: "which service runs and provides all the tcp/ip (ip address, dns, etc) information without you having to manually type them in?" Hint: it's not something that is specific to any OS.

This is an extremely basic question - you need to reread and fully understand your books and coursework or the course will be of no use to you. Which will be a waste of money come exam time.

I apologise for asking a basic question I guess I misunderstood the newbie term - I will refrain from posting until I feel more confident.
