Acer Aspire LInux install black screen when booting from USB
I'm trying to install Linux 17.3 Mint on an Acer Aspire 5570, here are the specs: (http://www.miniputer.com/Acer/Aspire_5570.html). I placed ISO on USB using unetbootin and tried to boot from USB in BIOS after switching USB drive to PC I'm doing install on. When I boot up I get a black screen with a blicking cursor and nothing else. How can I fix this? Not sure what I'm doing wrong:(

I then used Yumi from pendrivelinux and I was able to install live debian onto the USB. It could be the .iso file isn't working and you'll have to install a different iso onto the USB with unetbootin. |
Did you do an md5 checksum on the iso file you downloaded prior to putting it on the flash drive with unetbootin?
Have you tested the flash drive on another computer to see if it works? The specs you posted don't show anything on a graphics card, do you know what it is? |
