Accidental Deletion of "home.desktop"
Hi,
I am running Mandrake 9.2 and am using KDE. When I was selecting a location to save a pdf file, I accidentally double-clicked on "home.desktop" and replaced it with the pdf file. How can I restore "home.desktop"? Thanks! Ian |
i've done this in 9.1, it _probably_ also works on 9.2...
right click on the desktop... create new > link to application give it the name "Home.desktop" (without the quotes) in the "general" tab... pick an icon for it (by clicking the icon in the "general" tab), i think the default (on 9.1) is "kfm_home", which is in the "applications" category of "system icons"... go to the "execute" tab and in the "command" box, put: kfmclient openProfile filemanagement that should do it, hit okay and the new icon should appear on the desktop... =) |
Thanks, it worked! :)
