Accessing Yum in Fedora 14
Hi there :-)
I've been using linux for 2 years and I have a question. How to access into Yum in Fedora's terminal? Currently, I'm using Fedora 14 and I'm not familiar with fedora.Hopefully someone in this forum can help me. Thanx for your help :-D |
To run an update, install, remove or list packages (to a file in /tmp)
Code:
$ sudo yum update |
Welcome to LQ.
The manual (man yum) http://linux.die.net/man/8/yum Yum is useful. Use 1) su 2) then other commands : yum search <name> ( or part of name.) yum provides */<file> yum install <package-name> yum list all > all-packages.txt : Will save a list in /home/<name>/. ( And /tmp/ is not supposed to be accessed, permissions may change.) |
