accessing urls in kmail

I'm not really a newbie any more, but I've got a rather irritating problem with kmail which I can't cure. When I click on a url in an email message, the web page is called up in OpenOffice.org writer, rather than Mozilla, which used to happen until a couple of weeks ago. The problem seems to be confined to kmail. How can I ensure that clicked webpages open in an Internet browser? I'm running Mandriva 2006.

Hi, and welcome to LQ!

That's a KDE setting, not a KMail thing. Have a look
in your KontrolCenter :} under KDE Components ->
File Associations. Somehow/sometime you must have
decided to choose swriter as the default app for html.

Cheers,
Tink

How about displaying the actual website? When there is a weblink in an email message and I click on it, kmail will copy the weblink to the hard drive then open it. This is really aggrivating, because what pops up in firefox has nothing but broken links after it. I want it to behave just like any Microsoft email program, when I click on the link, the web browser actually goes to that website!
