accessing imap on evolution

Just a simple question about IMAP

How does one access their evolution inbox from the web? I'm only familiar with POP (you basically just send/receive).
E.G. Lets just say i retrieve my emails at a pc from the school/work mail server . If i wanted to retrieve my emails at home, what would I have to do? what steps would i take? using evolution of course. I'm currently running version 1.2.2-4

Pretty much the same as using any other mail client, you just setup your IMAP account (Tools-Settings) and use it.

Thanks, but what i really wanted to know is how do access my mail using IMAP not how to set it up. I'm really clueless here, I've never really used IMAP please be as blunt as possible.

Same as POP3, just that IMAP offers more features like if you have your mails organized in different folders they'll appear automatically in your mail client.
Also unlike pop3, the mail client doesn't fetch the contents of the mails, only the headers, until you view the mail. A bit like usenet.
