Accessing a linux drive on a windows machine?

Hey guys.. I am in need of some files on my linux drive. I am dual booting Mandrake 10.1 and Win 2000. I am in search of a utility that will enable me to browse the EXT2 partion (mainly the home partition).

It would be easier to mount the windows partition from within linux and copy the files

As far as I know, there is no tool in windows that accesses ext2 partitions. However, as musicman_ace said, you can mount the drive in linux and then copy the files. Thats the only way.

I hope you don't have NTFS partitions in windows, otherwise you may not get write-access while mounting

There are several drivers available for Windows that allow access to ext2/3 paritions. Try google/freshmeat/sourceforge, here are a couple:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/ext2fsd

BTW, the 2.6.x kernel does offer limited write support to NTFS partitions. And there is a driver called captive-ntfs that allows full write support.
