access to mysql converter

I used the DBconverter.1.4.1.msi
installed it. Converted a MS Access dbase to a mysql dbase.
But it made a dbase called mysqldbasename.sql
now I use Debian with a mysql server installed and offcourse mysql does not recognise this database.
I can't connect to my mysql server either from my windows computer.
When you try to convert the databae there is an option to connect to the host.
I type in the ip adres of the Debian computer, use the default mysql port (3306) en username that is in the my.cnf file of mysql
It says it can't connect.

Is there any proper way of converting a access database to a mysql database on a linux machine. So i only have to copy the files between the 2 computers?

Thnx in advance

Skaan

Try this:
Code:
mysql db_name < mysqldbasename.sql
to import the db into mysql
