Access forbidden to directory

Hello out there

The system administrator at my work has left and I have been given the reigns to keeps things going until another person can be found.

Today I tried to connect to our website/database through explorer but received this error message:

Access forbidden!
You don't have permission to access the requested directory. There is either no index document or the directory is read-protected.

Then I checked log messages and this is what I found:

Feb 7 09:43:02 NCB-SV-006 smbd[3051]: Unable to connect to CUPS server localhost - Connection refused
Feb 7 09:47:05 NCB-SV-006 su: pam_unix2: session started for user root, service su

We are running SUSE 9.3 (I believe). I also checked the permissions and the index document and all appears fine.

Again, I am not a system administrator (but I play one on tv) so any help would be appreciated?

Thanks in advance.

Have a look /etc/cups/cupsd.conf and check whether your
machine is blocked from administering cups in there...
You'll find several sections that have to do with IPs.

Also you shouldn't really be using port 631 for any
database applications, I don't think. What were you
trying to access/administer?

Cheers,
Tink
