About swap partitions

Please excuse me for this silly question. I had to post a thread regarding my NIC problem in BackTrack. But the forum does not allow me, as I had a link in my post. To meet the requirement, I should have atleast one post before I can include links. Forum mentioned this requirement is for fighting spam.

So here it my silly question ->
Can I have one swap partition for multiple linux distros installed on the computer?

Yup. You can. And usually this is how people do that.
Beware, however, that if you suspend one system to disk and then boot another one using the same swap partition, you won't be able to resume the suspended session anymore. :)

Yes, you can. Just add it as swap in the /etc/fstab file for your different distros. And if you ask me, you should use the same swap too for the simple reason of conserving disk space. I do and it works just fine.
