A very odd problem when trying to install Arch Linux
 

Ok, here is this thing:
I just burned an Arch Linux CD at my mom's Ubuntu computer, and I decided to try it out just to see how it works.

When I ran the CD on my mom's computer (IBM laptop I think, if that matters) it worked perfectly. I went into a CLI automatically where I was told to enter "arch" or "root" to start. I found an installation guide and everything seemed to work alright. I then removed the CD because I wasn't going to install it on my mom's computer. No problem here, but now it starts getting freaky.

When I got back home and inserted the CD into the my computer I didn't get a CLI screen, but rather something like this (I think it's called TUI). Why would I get a different screen? I did nothing different, same CD, inserted it and turned the computer on.

Ok, fair enough. Only that the TUI screen doesn't work. When I select the "Boot Arch Linux Live CD" it results in a long line of code, and then in Kernel Panic.

Edit: Ok, by the time I posted this I had figured out a solution (I use IDE so I was supposed to select the second choice, stupid mistake). But I still want to know, why would the Installer change between computers?

The image that you provided shows the GRUB boot screen, which will proceed automatically after some amount of time if you do not make a choice. I assume that you left the IBM laptop unattended during boot-up and it entered the default choice. Usually the first entry is the default choice, but that doesn't have the that way always.
