A simple os image to run on VM(KVM)


Hi,

I need a simple OS image to run on Virtual machine (VM) .
os requisits :

1. able to do ssh, or ftp to the other PCs/VMs
2. able to write some code to access the above for data transfer b/w PCs..

Can any one suggest a Os image which can do the above tasks ..

any modern distro should work. out of the box, ubuntu live cd (which can be mounted as an iso image in a vm program) will do the job.
