A question about iso
I have done this in the past but too many years ago.
Actually I'm suprized its not a sticky. I down loaded mandriva iso on to an XP box and now what? If memory serves need a special burning software to make cd to load into the PC. Need some good pointers of how to. Thanks all |
Any CD burning program works. A good free (as in beer) one is CDBurnerXP Pro. Or you might already have Roxio, Sonic Recordnow, or Nero...
Anyway, then what you do is find the "Burn From Image" option (usually something like File -> Burn From Image. Select the *.iso file and it should go. If you explore the created CD in Windows, you should see a bunch of files. If you only see a single *.iso file, you just created a regular data CD and it won't work. |

Okay while waiting for an answer I went to the Ubuntu site and down loaded Ubuntu and they had a link to infrarecorder, so I did that. Ubuntu didn't finish asking the 7 questions, and never even loaded on the hard drive well I don't think anyway, since it tried to boot into windows. Or is that how it is supposed to work? So now I'll see what happens with mandriva.
