A practical knowledge base - queries / answers on linux

Hi All,

I am new to linux ; i would like to have a good knowledge base on linux to start with and understand linux, and also what is the practical day to day practical guide to linux - say to start with as a fresher ;

all info available on line seem to give a lot of theory and less of practical examples;

could any one suggest a good book / online - tutorial for this.

thanks

Check out the guides section of The Linux Documentation Project.

Check out http://linux-newbie.sunsite.dk/ --- very good information.

Also search Google Linux for anything related to linux. Get a good book if you can...rute user's tutorial is one of the best. Seach google/linux for it and you will get it to read online...or even download.
