Smile A logging Algorithm implementation in NS2

hello,
i am new to ns2 and i want to implement and test an algorithm in NS2. This algorithm is about logging.

when Mobile Host leaves the cell of MSS1 and enters the cell of MSS2, there is a handoff procedure. I want to log the hand off messages at MSS and also want to log someother information like how many times some Mobile Host has visited a particular MSS. MSS will take care of the logging thingy.

please let me know that to do this kind of thing do i need to change the existing code files or will i have to add new?

Thanking you in advance.

Kind Regards
