A few questions about Samba

I have used various apps to browse my Samba network, and I think the commandline is the best way.

I have a few questions about using the CLI for browsing a windows network:

1) Is there any way I can specify where I want to "get" a file. By default I get it in my home directory. Can I specify where to save the file?

2) Can I find out the IP address of a node on the network?

3) How can I "get" ALL the files in a shared directory ?

4) Can I find out who is accessing my shared directories?

Thanks in advance.

4) Can I find out who is accessing my shared directories?

the command 'users' shows who is currentally loged into your machene... as samba uses linux user accounts as well, samba users 'SHOULD' show up on the output.

No, it doesn't work. Actually, none of the LAN users are a part of /etc/passwd
