a few newbie questions

alright first I just installed opensuse 11.1 with kde 4.1 desktop. now for my questions..

1.why isn't there acer hotkeys in the yast repo's, they were there in the opensuse 11 repos why not 11.1
2.why wont opensuse reconize my external harddrive at startup? (I have to unplug and plugin several times before recoginiton.) and it did fine after installation
3.my /D drive only says I have 2.4gigs worth of space in both windows and suse...when it actually has 53.1gigs why is this
4. how do I install the KDE 3.5 desktop without losing my settings (KDE 4 seems to STILL have alot of problems that I though would have been fixed by now)
5. and finally why do I have to re-log into this site every ten minutes when using suse?

...and if I hadn't said it already thanks for all your help guys I probably would of given up on linux if it wasn't for all of your great help I can't thank you enough...really it means alot

3. if you're checking disk space from MS, it won't see the Linux area. Try

fdisk -l

as root in Linux.
