Unhappy 82945g hardware compatibility red hat enterprise linux?

Hey Guys!! I m a complete Newbie to linux. Can say viewed linux first time after it was installed on my computer day before yesterday. I m a programmer in java and thought of learning java on linux platform. Yes i know its platform independent. But their is something wrong which i cannot make out how to solve.

I am Using Red Hat Enterprise edition2.6.9-5 which is version 4. and red hat do not recognize all my hardware. I have intel 82945G express chipset family. My sound card(Realtek HD Audio) is not detected nor my network adapter(RTL8169/8110 ETHERNET NIC) list in the hardware. Have downloaded the driver from somewhere but i think i will die before i cud code all of them. Any Suggestions?

Instead of taking the time that many others have spent and invested with these hardware issues I will simply state that all of this is covered in the CentOS wiki and forums;
