64-bit install when i chose 32-bit (WUBI)

Hi

ive installed UBUNTU on windows from WUBI and im certain i chose 32-bt but its installed 64-bit... will this cause problems for me? should reinstall?

also, I lowered the install size to 6Gb...what does this mean? does this just set the allowed "disk" size for the OS to use... 3Gb being the absolute mininum? after install there was 3Gb spare... can I change this after install or can it only be done before?

thanks - loving this OS btw... its much easier than my last attempt some years back...for installing apps and avail content

if you can boot into it then there's no reason to change it.

I would think if your computer wasn't 64bit it wouldn't allow you to install as 64bit. But i could be wrong.

yeah its 64-bit... i have 64-bit windows 7 on it too... but just wanted 32-bit Linux in case there were some application issues...like 32-bit versions not working on 64-bit linux... luckily google chrome had a 64-bit version otherwise i would have been stumped at the first download - if there is little or no known incompatabilitys with 32-bit apps on 64-bit ubuntu then i shud be fine... i have 2Gb (2x1Gb) by the way and 1.8Ghz x 2 (2 x 512kb)

I don't think you will face any problem for running 32 Bits apps on it. Because 64Bit can handle both 32Bit & 64Bit apps.

yeah but sometimes you can get 32-bit programs that wont work 'properly' in 64-bit os... i dunno if this is just in windows but i would have though it expands to all operating systems

Maybe if the software was a very customised software which wasn't programmed properly. But other then that scenario I wouldn't see you running into this issue at all.
