Evening all

I have a dual boot with fedora9 and ubuntu (don’t know which I want yet)
I have enabled the nvidia drivers on both as well as compiz.

On Ubuntu all seems to work fine. On fedora I have the same config tool and enabled the same effects but most don’t seem to work for example fire writing, water thing, the windows key and tab for putting all open apps in a circle are on but don’t work, Cube, wobble and making cube into a cylinder all work.
Does anyone have any ideas? In case it’s useful I get the nevida logo when starting x on both systems but in ubuntu I get a compiz splash screen but not in fedora. On fedora I have to start the app that sits up in the tray (cant remember its name) before anything works but not on ubuntu. Last bit all the 3d stuff seems a lot smoother on ubuntu compared to fedora can this be fixed on F9?

Check your window manager. You must have compiz running, not metacity or something else for the effects to work.
