3C940 - trying to connect to the net

Yeah I have an Asus P4C800 with a 3COM Gigabit LOM (onboard) that uses the 3C940 driver.

When I open the network config I cant find the 3C940 driver to support my network card.

I was wondering if there was an alternate driver I can use or a site that has all these network drivers.

Im afraid im a newbie to Linux but I want to learn

- if anyone can give me any tips or recommendations i should know as a new linux user i would appreciate it

http://www.scyld.com/network/ (network drivers ...)
There are a lot of sites, which support new linux users. And running a site specially dedicated to newbies, I have one to :-)

Hope this helps

I was having issues getting to certain domains with this driver. I am running RH9 kernel 2.4.20-18.9. However, I downloaded the installer package for sk98lin from the following directory and everything is peachy now:

http://www.syskonnect.de/syskonnect/...tm/sk98lin.htm

Hope this helps you folks; it had been frustrating me for a while.
