3270 terminal emulator

I don't give up from windows because of I must to connect to IBM mainframes. The company I work, works with legacy IBM mainframes software...

Is there a 3270 terminal emulator that I can download and use both in Fedora 8 and Mandriva 2007? If I get one I'll leave windows forever...

Using your huge knowledge, please show me the link where I can learn how to compile a C program under linux. It's a very difficult job for people that don't use C compilers.

Or... Please show me where I can find the binaries for the emulator, please.

I'm needing a solution, not new problems.

I was able to install x3270 simple by using yum

Code:

yum install x3270

However there is some functionality missing from this program I believe or at least I haven't been able to figure out how to do certain things
