32-bit or 64-bit?

total noob question-

is there a way to find out if a system is 32-bit or 64-bit? the processor specs dont mention anything - so how does one know?

What processor are you using? Most 64 bit processors indicate this.

yeah i sortof guessed that would be the case - i'm using amd xp 1800+ and the amd site said nothing abt it being 32-bit tho the 64-bit processors were clearly labelled.
so mine is 32-bit, but is there a way to find out for any processor in case its not named 64-bit** processor?

thanks!

I'm almost certain that all AMD processors that are 64-bit have 64 in their official name.
