2 Linux systems on jump drive?
Right now on my second puter I have h.d. #1 with windows xp and ubuntu. H.d. #2 has freespire and damn small linux. Not sure which system I like the best yet but fumbling through them. My main question is whether linux can partion a flash drive (4 GB) so that I can experiment with 2 more. Please help me out and also give me a good recomendation on which O.S. you prefer. Thanks much, Curt.....

Yes, you can partition a flash drive - just treat it like an ordinary drive.
BUT first - check that it's not some weird-ass flash drive that pretends to have two partitions - I have no idea if they'll partition correctly. I find 'Debian' the easiest to maintain, but if you're happy with Ubuntu/Kubuntu, you can stick to that; they're built on Debian. |
Thanks
I'll go ahead and try it. Just wanted to make sure before I invested the time. Thanks for your recomendation too. Curt
