15.04 to 15.10 upgrade grub issue
I have two disks in my PC. The primary has Windows loaded and had been running fine for a couple of years. I assume it still does, although I haven't tried it in a while.
The second drive is where Ubuntu is loaded. I chose to "deactivate" the primary drive in BIOS once Ubuntu was installed so that the PC boots into Ubuntu automatically. To run Windows, I go into BIOS and "activate" the primary drive. Everything has worked for about 6-8 months.
This morning I saw a notice asking if I wanted to upgrade from 15.04 to 15.10. I chose to do so. However, the install went smoothly until it got to grub. The line on the upgrade screen now says "setting up grub-pc (2.02-beta2-29) ..." It is hung there, probably because it cannot find my grub installation.
I don't really want to reboot the PC at this point. I'd like the upgrade to finish cleanly. How can I nudge the grub setup to the proper disk?
