1440x900 monitor OK when system up, font is too big at boot and halt time

How do you set the font to be smaller when you boot fedora 10?

The current font is missing the first character (or two) and way to big.

Hi,

You should pass a vga=xxx parameter to the kernel, (edit your grub.conf)
that way you can select a different video mode for the kernel and
choose one that works fine with your monitor.

vga=ask will show a menu where you can choose and try.

Best regards,

I added a line to grub.conf file

vga=ask

It did nothing on reboot, so I removed it.

Is there a special place for this command?

I know there is a way to set it right and I am happy to try a menu.

OK, thanks.

You said it - I missed it. Edited kernel line and settled on vga=773
