I'm assuming you cd'ed into the directory created by running the tar command.
You need to run the INSTALL script as root.

sudo ./INSTALL

Umm thanks for the help on installing Adobe Acrobat Reader I would thank you but idk how too...Now I have another problem that I said before...Knoppix doesnt come with KDE and I want to install it but idk wat to do help

If it isn't in menu, you can add it. Either the program will be /usr/bin/acroread or /usr/bin/acroread will be a symlink.
Look in "Applications -> Office -> Document Viewer" or something similar. It may depend on your distro and which desktop you use. The descriptive name might be "pdf viewer". The actual name is "acroread".

You can run "which acroread" to locate it.

Knoppix is not relay meant to be installed . it can be,But it runs best on a live dvd.

For KDE and or the Gnome desktop you might want to install Ubuntu
and dump knoppix

I second that.
If you have a computer with normal specs, use ubuntu, or kubuntu if you want kde.
Ubuntu is great for beginners, and has good hardware detection.
Changes are great even internet will work out of the box :-)
